My granddaughter needed diapers for her doll. These are patterned after what we saw in the stores this winter - she calls them "ho ho poopoos."

Great way to use up old jello boxes. Cover them with gift wrap, tie bows and stick them to a piece of cardboard covered with gift wrap. It wouldn't last through too many snowstorms, but it was cute on the door for a while!

This advent calendar was made for an auction at work. There was a bidding war!!!!

2012 Shoe Quilt

This year's shoe quilt was a small shoe store stocked with the coolest Barbie shoes!

This Year's Shoe Quilt

This year's Shoe Quilt, titled "Never Enough Shoes," is much smaller. Most of the closet shelves hold sets of high heel buttons and flip-flop stickers. A pair of Barbie jeans hangs in one closet space and a little gold dress hangs in the largest space. This was a lot of fun to make!

Hail and Farewell

This quilt was made for a friend whose knowledge was boundless. He was our "go to" guy for many things, and especially Latin phrases. His most memorable assistance was the Chuckles the Clown quote from The Mary Tyler Moore Show: "minutus cantorum, minutus balorum, minutus carborata descendum pantorum" which means "a little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants." It was difficult to decide on a theme for his quilt. One morning, inspiration struck while I was watching "I Remember Mama." Their lodger Mr. Hyde left his collection of classic literature for the children. His farewell note ended with the Latin phrase "Ave atque Vale" - hail and farewell, a fitting sentiment for this retiree.

This quilt was created for a wonderful person who was known for baking the most beautiful and delicious cheesecakes. She was delighted with it.
